The short version: the loft wins on room and flexibility, the restaurant wins on food certainty and effort, and the best answer for many couples is the building that has both.

What the loft gets you

Space that bends to your wedding instead of the reverse: a ceremony, a flip, a dinner, a dance floor — one room doing four jobs. Character that decorates itself; brick and beam photograph better than any draping budget. And headroom on the guest list a dining room can't match.

The cost of all that freedom: decisions. A loft hands you a beautiful volume and a list of choices — layout, timing, lighting scenes — that someone has to make. With a good events lead that's a pleasure. Without one it's a second job.

What the restaurant gets you

Certainty. The kitchen is proven nightly, the menu is real, the room already works — you're borrowing an operation instead of building one. Restaurant weddings are also the least-effort great weddings that exist: book, taste, show up.

The trade: the room is the room. Ceremony space is tight, dancing is negotiated, and your guest count has a hard ceiling set by the dining room. If your list grows, the plan breaks.
